Our colleague Carmen Esther Falcón Pérez, Co-Director of the UNESCO Chair at TiDES, participated in the 11th Iberian Colloquium on Social Economy, held under the theme “Social Economy and Territorial Cohesion: The Role of Regional and Local Authorities.”
During the event, she presented two research papers:
🔹 Housing Cooperatives and Energy Efficiency in Buildings: A Necessary Partnership, which focused on the role of housing cooperatives as a key instrument for promoting the energy transition and improving the sustainability of our highly energy-inefficient building stock.
🔹 Participatory Urban Planning through Digital Cooperatives: A Proposal for Public Administration, a study exploring new approaches to citizen participation and collaborative governance through the use of digital tools and cooperative models.
This latter paper was awarded the Best Paper Award in the Social Economy, Digitalisation, Energy and Housing workshop.
