The UNESCO Chair of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development of the ULPGC, the TiDES Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development, and EMOTUR, with the collaboration of the United Nations Development Programme, have launched the 3rd Edition “TOURISM AND WOMEN IN AFRICA”, a course aimed at young women from Africa with university studies, which takes place between November and December 2023.
The aim of this course is to empower women in Africa and improve their skills for sustainable tourism development. The course is coordinated by the Women for Africa Foundation and funded by the Directorate General for Economic Affairs with Africa of the Government of the Canary Islands. More than ten professors from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and other international universities will present different topics.
The African continent is characterised by the great diversity and potential of its living natural, historical and cultural resources.
