Our colleague, Carmelo J. León González, Director of the UNESCO Chair in Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, presented at the International Workshop on Climate Change, Tourism And Education, held in Manizales (Colombia), the paper entitled “Do emotions matter? Reviewing the last generation of studies on climate change communication and tourist behaviour”, whose authors are the researcher himself, Yen E. Lam-González, Javier de León, and Mohamed Abderrahmane Ebnou.
This Workshop was organised by the aforementioned UNESCO Chair, the University Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development (TIDES) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Obreal GLOBAL, within the framework of the Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories International Conference (SSCt 2023 | Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories International Conference (ssctic.net).
The Workshop is part of the European project “Strengthening research, innovation and knowledge transfer on Climate Change & Tourism in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America (CLIMAR)”, coordinated by the ULPGC together with Obreal GLOBAL; it was attended by Professor Javier de León, coordinator of the project for our institution together with Professor Domingo Verano.
