On 28 November 2023 at 16:30, the online event to present the Sustainability Laboratory’s study will take place.
This event will address tourism growth in the Canary Islands and its impact on the carrying capacity of natural and human island ecosystems. The collaboration between The Sustainability Laboratory and the Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has resulted in a system dynamics model to analyse this relationship between tourism and sustainability from the perspective and fundamental issue of carrying capacity.
